Loch Raven Fishing

Location: Loch Raven Reservoir (north of Dulaney Valley Bridge)

Toward the end of July we caught some white perch, bluegill, black crappie, yellow perch and largemouth bass out Loch Raven Reservoir. Everything but the largemough's were caught on hook and worm. My wife is holding her largest catch of the day, a yellow perch - 11.5". Largemouths both hit a baby yellow perch crankbait shown in the picture below. Also shown is my 17" largemouth with lure which we released (my largest to date) and another 15" largemouth. Because of the heat that week, we found the largemouths deep off the underwater ridges.

PS - I realized after talking with my father that I shouldn't have held the largemouths like I did in the picture as it can harm their jaw because of their weight. - Sorry about that.
