Caught a Variety of Fish on the Severn

Type: Tidal
Region: Southern
Location: Severn River

My wife Linda and I got a couple of hours in of fishing after dinner on 8/15. We fished the Severn River in Round Bay till it got dark. Using light weight tackle and 4lb test, we cast and jigged the shallows near a few markers and around the island. We caught white perch up to 10", undersized strippers, bluefish, croakers, and this one red drum at Brewers Pt. Everything was released, about 40 fish total. Was using 1/16 oz jig head and 1-1/2" green twister tail grubs. Next time out I'll move up in lure size. Lots of bait on the surface in places around sunset where it was flat and calm.
