I've been going out the past few Saturday mornings around 8-9am and have been having luck with soft baits, fishing right off the shore. I've been using Gary Yamamoto Senko 4" and 5" worms, primarily getting hits with the white and june bug colors. I've recently started trying out wacky style and have been having more luck with that than my usual Texas rig. You just have to watch out sometimes because it can get snagged as Needwood has quite a bunch of stuff on the floor of the lake if you are in certain spots. These are some of the larger bass I have caught the past 2 weekends. I caught 4 smallies on the 4th, and 6 smallies on the 11th. The largemouth's in that lake are still elusive to me and I have yet to reel one in, but I'm hoping I get one this season!
