Report for Saturday, August 18th in the area of Nanjemoy Creek, Maryland. We decided to try our luck with ultralight tackle and found plenty of cooperative fish. We were fishing a small inlet off the main river, out of the wind, which was blowing 20mph out of the North. The forecast was for 5-10 mph winds. We were tossing small spinner baits on 10lb braided line using 5 foot rods. We caught a cooler full of white perch, 2 yellow perch, 6 or 7 channel catfish, one blue catfish, one bluefish, 2 puppy drum and 3 largemouth bass. Pretty nice variety of fish. Water temp was back in the mid 80s.
