When Will The Grasses Die Down?

Me and my buddy John launched our kayaks at Mallows Bay 24th of August. I caught 3 snakeheads, biggest one was 2.5 lbs. I have a question: when will the grass die down?

DNR Response:Hey Fred, Thanks for the angler�s log post! The grasses will probably start dying out in October or early November. The rate and magnitude could differ depending on where you�re at and how quick the water gets cold. Here is a write-up I sent out to anglers via our constant contact program.
