Baby Jaws

Type: Ocean
Region: Eastern
Location: Ocean; Indian River inlet

Roland Williams while trolling for Big Blue fish aboard the Charter Fishing Boat "Capt Ike" piloted by Capt. David Collins and Capt. George Merrick III. Catches and released a baby Jaws, a young "Mako Shark". The Mako Shark was coming out of the water just like one of the scenes from the Movie "Jaws" with its mouth was wide open and ready to bite anything. This gave some some excitement, adventure and a good game of tug-o-war! The Mako's teeth are long, thin, and sharp. This enables the shark to catch slippery fish, the mainstay of its diet.
