I just wanted to let you know that we enjoyed a great week of bass fishing in 4 different small lakes and ponds in Frederick and Carroll counties last week. The warmer weather spiked the water temperatures as much as 18 degrees in some ponds and bass became very active from their lethargic winter/late spring mode. We caught all our fish on either 1/2 oz. Rat-L-Traps or #4 Mepps Aglias fished briskly in and around algae clumps in shallow water. Included were several fish in the 4 to nearly 6 pound range. Here are pictures of a few of the better fish.
