Went out on the 11th to do some chumming and live lining. The weather was to be great with little, if any, wind and a good outgoing tide. What happened was somewhat different as the wind picked to about 20K out of the North. That combined with the strong current and tidal flow that caused most boats not to be able to hold anchors. We let out about 120 feet and held for about 2 hours but then we lost it too. Landed one nice rock before having to give it up. When we did all of the boats, except for late comers, were already gone.
We then went into the mouth of the Magothy and found a school of nice sized white perch. We loaded up on them for about 45 minutes and went on into port. Nice day but not nice rock fishing in the wind..
