Surprised to Catch a Menhaden

While fishing on the 29th of April at Jonas Green State Park pier, at 4:55PM I was surprised to have a small shiny fish caught between 2 lines that crossed each other. At first I thought it was a Herring or Shad but after a bit more research I'm starting to think it's possibly a Menhaden. This little guy was quickly released after the picture was took and swam off as soon as it hit the water.
