One Hefty Rockfish

Here is the 49 inch, 51 lb. rockfish that I caught off Flag Ponds on Thursday evening, May 2nd. I was fishing on the "Pride and Joy" - a 1975 Mako 20. After 30 years of fishing on the Chesapeake, this is definitely my biggest trophy rockfish! I checked the fish in at Tyler's Tackle Box in North Beach, and I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the Maryland Fishing Challenge on September 7th, 2013!

It appears that if I had caught this fish in the MSSA tournament on Friday, I would be significantly wealthier man today�. Oh well!
