Location: Tred Avon River
My son caught this fish in the Tred Avon River today and we cannot identify what species it is. Can you tell us what type of fish this is?
Thanks

DNR's Response -
Hello Craig, your son caught a striped killfish, they are actually residents of bay waters but always seem to be a curiosity when caught. An interesting aspect of the striped killfish is the male has only vertical stripes while the mature female have some horizontal lines.
