Type: Chesapeake
Region: Southern
Location: Patuxent River
Me and my lady caught this fish right out of the Patuxent River, trolling towards the first buoy. 42.5 inches, 26lbs 11oz. Hit on a chartreuse tandem parachute rig close to 25 ft deep within the first 30 minutes of trolling. This is my first rockfish, and I have taught myself through discussions with the guys at Tackle Box in Lexington Park. Big shout out to those young men over there who never hesitated to explain rigging and trolling to me. Amazing day. FISH ON!
