Large Mummichog Minnow

I caught this minnow at Watersedge Park on a Salmon egg snelled hook. It was 5-7 inches long. Sadly she died without purpose as bait. She was belly hooked so I used her as bait. She did not yet give birth yet,which is why she died without purpose.

Q: Do common Mummichogs normally get this big? I know other MD bait fish get as big or bigger.

A: Female Mummichogs can grow to be much larger than the males as evidenced by your photograph.
