Hickory Shad on Deer Creek

Type: Nontidal
Region: Northern
Location: Mouth of Deer Creek

I was fishing Easter morning at the mouth of Deer Creek and Susquehanna River for hickory shad when this monster Smallie hit. It was on a chartreuse dart with an orange tip. I have been fishing the Susquehanna for the last 20 years and i have never caught a Smallie that has ever come close to that size. That definitely made my morning along with catching a decent amount of hickory shad. I would say i have caught over 60 shad in the last two days.
