Blake Brady, 8, of Hollywood, MD had a great evening fishing with his Poppy Mike Roberts on May 23, 2013 at a local farm pond in St. Mary's County. He caught several nice bass, including the one in the picture that weighed 3 lbs 10 oz, and was 21 inches long. (Poppy hasn't even caught one that big yet this year) He also caught about 12 very nice Bluegills as well. He was using his Zebco spincasting rod and reel, casting a 1 1/2" pumpkin/chartreuse twister tail grub on a 1/4 oz leadhead jig. He would cast out the lure, and slowly retreive it and bump it back in. This was the first time Blake had ever used an artificial lure to catch fish, and he did an excellent job and had lots of fun. As per Poppy's rules, all the fish were returned so we can catch them again some time.
