Thanks to Ed Keller, of Potomac Guide Service, I caught this 17-inch, 2.5 lb smallmouth on the Potomac at Taylors Landing on a bullfrog tiny torpedo. On Monday Ed took me out to this stretch of the Potomac where I learned a great deal about smallmouth bass fishing. We caught about two-dozen fish last Monday, half were smallies and the rest were rock bass and sunfish. Today July 5th, I caught another dozen fish in two hours, the largest of which was the bass pictured below. This is the largest bass Ive ever caught.
