Catfishing at Carderock

June 29 - July 7th Weekends. A friend and I had great success the June 29th weekend with 2 Channel Catfish and 1 Blue Catfish, so I decided to take my daughter and hit the same Carderock Maryland Park again (before American Legion Bridge). We typically fish the spot just before the bridge off the Billy Goat Trail. If you don�t mind wading thru a little thick vegetation, there are some great bank fishing spots. Again we used cut bait (carp and bluegill) and landed another blue and this time a Flathead Catfish. Both hit and fought hard. We saw some big carp in the shallows but my bowfishing skills are still lacking and I kept missing my target. Overall it was a great weekend. If anyone can post some good spots for shallow bowfishing carp in the area that would be greatly appreciated.
