No Keepers But Still a Good Day

Type: Nontidal
Region: Central
Location: Lower Gunpowder Fall

I went fishing in the morning of 7/24/13 in the lower Gunpowder Falls near Rt. 40. I started near Rt. 40 and worked my way upstream to the CSX railroad bridge. I started catching Bluegills using night crawlers and saw many schools of Largemouth Bass in the 12-14 inch range but didnt have any bass lures or artificial worms with me. As I moved upstream I caught a juvenile smallmouth on a chartreuse rooster tail spinner then caught the rockfish using a Rapala minnow lure. The rockfish struck the lure as soon as it hit the water. Finally right under the railroad bridge I hooked up on a school of Yellow Perch that bit on night crawlers and the spinner. Had a nice relaxing morning of fishing even though none of the fish were keeper size.
