having a live well of spot and proper gear, it really comes down to finding the right location at the right time. I was one of the first early birds out, I didn't yet see many other boats so I put my money on The Hill. I found nothing there but I began to see a small boat mass further towards Eastern Bay. I'm not too proud to stalk charter boats and copycat a bit. The current seems to bottleneck between the Bloody Point and Poplar Island drop offs and the rockfish were stacked up there on top in the 20-30 foot area. The spot didn't last more than 45 seconds on either drop.
