What a great outing! It was a nice cool evening Friday August 16th so I took off work and called a buddy and headed to my favorite honey hole. We were met by several other boats and many birds with the same idea. Give you a hint Potomac River and Port Tobacco River at the 100 ft to 6 ft deep channel edge.
Anyway the blue cats were feasting on squid and old cut bait. Even found a good mix of 10 to 14 croakers as well. We got a line tangled, and looked at each other and said Ok whose fault is that. Un-twisted everything and said dude I got something on here thats why our lines crossed up. Felt like a log on med tackle rod, when it came to surface I yelled grab the net and it was a foot longer than would even fit in my Wal-Mart net. We had a mix of big blue cats and some channel cats but this guy was about 30 in and 10 lbs.
