I saw a post where you responded to another angler about where to fish for snakeheads. I tried Bumpy Oak Pond. The first visit, I had numerous hits but no solid hook ups. The last three visits, either a good amount of the population has been fished out or they have simply been inactive. It's a bit frustrating haha but I decided it might be worth a try to fish on Mattawoman Creek, where the pond originally got it's snakehead population from. I parked on the corner of Livingston Rd and Hawthorne. I traveled along the edges but most of the water it seemed, was only accessible through kayaks. Is there anywhere on Mattowoman creek to fish for snakeheads by shore?
DNR Response: You could try to fish from the pier at Smallwood State Park or Slavins Wharf in Indian Head. You can also do a search here on the Anglers Log for Mattawoman Creek to see where other anglers have been catching snakeheads, though I think many are kayak fishing.
