Hybrid Confusion

Type: Chesapeake
Region: Northern
Location: Port Deposit

Hello, I am writing you to clear up some confusion. I caught this hybrid stripper last Saturday the 14 of August in Port Deposit on my dads boat. Now thankfully I only had one in the cooler so I was able to take him home but Im wondering if this fish would be considered one of my two fish (striped bass) for my limit. This hybrid was 24 inch long and 18 1/2 inch girth. I have never caught anything like it and put up a nice little fight.

DNR RESPONSE:Catching a hybrid in both tidal and non-tidal would count against your daily creel limit for striped bass - hybrids are considered striped bass for all regulations.
