I just wanted to give you a little fodder for the Anglers log. The Anadromous Restoration project started our juvenile seine survey for American and hickory shad on the Choptank and Tuckahoe yesterday. We captured 82 American shad in the Choptank and Tuckahoe the first day. In 2009, we only caught 154 American shad the entire season. In 2010, we stocked 3.7 million larvae in April, 300,000 early juveniles stocked in May and 34,000 Coded wire tagged late juveniles stocked in August. Hopefully in three to four years we will see these fish return to spawn as adults.
