12 year old Steven was using his cast net gathering mud shad for rockfishing when he netted this Flounder. He also landed recently a couple largemouth bass and a crab with his net. But by far the coolest thing ever caught to all of us was the flounder. He was an excited fisherman last night. He says "who cares about the 20" rockfish on my pole, the flounder is awesome."
DNR Response: The flounder looking fish is called a hogchoker, hogchokers are native to the tidal waters of the bay and are often confused with flounder, they reach a maximum length of six inches, for further information go to www.chesapeakebay.net/fieldguide/critter/hogchoker
