Sunday Sept. 8th I took the opportunity to try a little fishing at the inlet leading into Flag Harbor Marina in St. Leonard, MD. I decided to try from shore and it looked like I made the right decision since I had a pretty good time. I ended up catching a handful of spot and a few croakers. But I also caught my first speckled trout of the year. He was only about 8 inches long so he was returned to the water. I then hooked up with a little black drum. (Again the first I've caught of them ever.) My son came and joined me and ended up bringing a nice bluefish. It was a great afternoon of fishing.
