Fishing With Dad
Type: Nontidal
Region: Western
Location: Savage Reservoir

On 9-14-13 Me and Dad fished at Savage River Dam from our canoe. Again we caught our limit of some nice Rainbow Trout. We caught some nice perch, here is a picture of two of them. We also caught some Rock Bass and Smallmouth Bass. We noticed a turtle on a log and got close enough to get a good picture before he jumped into the water. Im not sure what kind of turtle this was, could you please let me know what kind of turtle he is?

DNR's Response: Hello Ethan, DNR has a web site listing all the species of turtles/tortoises within Maryland click here to view. We believe you saw a redeared slider, thanks for the inquiry.
