Ice Fishing Report�

Just thought I'd drop a note about ice fishing in the northern and western parts of the state. I ice fished a local pond on January 10, 2014 and picked up these nice largemouths on a Kastmaster spoon tipped with maggots in shallow 4 foot depths. The ice thickness was 5 inches, clear and hard. Please do not attempt to fish on anything less than 4 inches of clear, hard ice. Always test ice with a friend and in the shallow areas first in case you have a 'break through'. Here are the pics�
