Savage Reservoir Restoration Efforts Begin

Savage Reservoir restorative stocking continued today. Manning Hatchery produced 83,700 juvenile bluegill. Bear Creek Hatchery staff made the long trip from Garrett County to Southern Maryland and transported them out to the Savage Reservoir. Stocking will continue over the next two years to ensure that healthy fish populations are created and maintained after the lake drawdown earlier in the year. Attached photos courtesy of Dave Sien.
