Fly Fishing for Trout

Location: Gunpowder River and Patapsco River Daniels

Recently I fly fished the Gunpowder River (march 15th). I fished the catch and release section where the river meets York Road. I fished most of the day and saw lots of bug action and only a few rises. No fish were caught but I had a great time. The next day (march 16th), I headed to the Patapsco River Daniels section. I only fished here for about an hour and a half but was very succesful. Two fish were caught, both on scud patterns and in deep pools. Overall it was a great was to kick off the start of the spring.
