Tidal Bass Update

Type: Nontidal
Region: Eastern
Location: Marshyhope Creek

The tidal bass survey finished up work on Marshyhope Creek this week. We found several juveniles, indicating good reproduction, and a few nice sized bass on the Marshyhope particularly in the upper part of the river near the boat launch of Federalsburg. Weve also seen a lot of juveniles in the tidal fresh areas of the Potomac River and upper Bay. The survey of the upper Bay is on-going. Today, 2 largemouth bass were collected from Swan Creek in the upper Bay and each was pretty close to 6 pounds. The survey of the upper Bay should be complete on Wednesday. Surveys of the Wicomico River and Pocomoke River are scheduled over the next couple of weeks.
