Hooked My First Muskie

Type: Nontidal
Region: Western
Location: Upper Potomac, Dam 5

My brothers and I went fishing up at Dam 5 on Sunday 4/6. The river was still high and brown from all the rain. The water temp was 51 degrees. My brothers were trying for Walleye, but no action other than one that got off after being hooked with a crankbait. We did have some excitement when I hooked my very first muskie using a KVD tournament Chartreuse Spinner bait. This guy was caught in 7' of water while jigging in my spinnerbait. It was 33" and 12lb's.
