Navy Solomons Recreation Center Fishing Pier Is Damaged. We checked the pier this morning, and WHOA! Last year we lost the top of the "T." Now the whole thing is gone! A few gents were "fishing" off the north side of the length of the pier with no luck. No one was around who knew what had happened to the "T." But looks like it will be out for an extended period. My wife and I love fishing this pier. Oh well. Gonna have to start spending more time on NAS PAX River.

We left that pier and went to the fishing pier at Point Lookout. My first time at Point Lookout. Alone. Aaaah. Only had about 30 minutes to fish. Caught and released a beautiful little 20" striper and had some other good bites as I was packing to leave. (Hmmm? Croaker? Hmmm?). By the way, I used bloodworm, shrimp and squid. Every bite came on the bloodworm. I headed to work at 12:30pm. What a WONDERFUL DAY!
