Lakes controlled by the City of Salisbury

I�ve been instructed to make certain that anglers are informed of the status of the Lakes controlled by the City of Salisbury, Department of Public Works. Although Schumaker�s pond is listed in our fishing guide as a place for public fishing, anglers should be aware that the lake was drained prior to the previous tropical weather event, and is now void of catchable size fish. Additionally, Johnson�s Pond was lowered several feet. Fortunately, the valves on Johnson�s Pond were closed before fisheries resources were harmed. The Lake is now back at full pool.
