Just a quick note to let everyone know that now is the time to be fishing for Smallmouth Bass in those smaller, lesser known rivers and streams in central and westerm Maryland. Yes the Potomac and the Susquehanna get all the ink, but you can have great fishing in their tributaries if you time it right and wade carefully. Chest waders, a handful of jigs and crankbaits and a good fishing partner can make for a great day on the water. Here are a few photos of me and my friend Judson with some quality bass we caught on our own hairjig creations from a Potomac tributary.
