The Inland Fisheries Service recently stocked the North Branch Potomac River Delayed Harvest Trout Fishing Area by using a rail cart towed by a CXS Rail Truck. This cooperative effort between CXS and DNR allowed us to stock 1500 Rainbow Trout in this remote section of the river adjoining Potomac State Forest. Anglers can access the river by the Forest Service Roads at Lostland Run, Laurel Run, and the Wallman Area. Once at these easy access points, anglers can hike along the river to find some spectacular water with plenty of elbow room to fish. Pictured are: 1) Fisheries Service staff Marcus Wilson, Jonathon Folk, and Jody Johnson loading up the stock tank with trout from the Bear Creek Hatchery; 2) Jody Johnson and Kenny Wampler loading up a tub of trout ready to be stocked in the river 3) the North Branch Potomac River Delayed Harvest Trout Fishing Area near the Laurel Run access area.
