I took my son and his friend fishing on 5/10/2014, not knowing what might be left, since the river was stocked last Monday. On the first cast, I hooked and landed this 23 inch, 5+ lb. rainbow! I check the angler's log regularly and have seen the numerous whopper trout the past couple years, hoping I would eventually catch one. Finally! We caught several other trout as well, so it was a GREAT day! Thanks to DNR for putting in these nice surprises around the state. Special thanks to my son, Daniel for the stellar netting job on this big rainbow.
