Chasing Breaking Water

Type: Chesapeake
Region: Central
Location: Annapolis

Our co-worker Joe Evans (he's got THE boat) was kind enough to invite us out on the bay and enjoy a beautiful fall sunset. We left Annapolis and began chasing birds and breaking water with some light tackle in hand, we managed to catch smallies and a wonderful frame of mind by the time we returned to the dock, other boats were taking advantage of the weather as well as you can see in the picture. The weather can be hit or miss this time of year so when you get the opportunity dont turn away. The next day we tried our luck from the shores of the Magothy River, again schools of small stripers were on hand but Carla (see below) was lucky enough to hook a nice 24 inch fish on a Storm lure, big enough for a wonderful dinner that evening!
