This past Mother's Day my buddy Colby Gibson and I headed out to Loch Raven to get some fishing in before we enjoyed the rest of the day with our Moms. We arrived at the fishing center around 7:00 and headed to our favorite spot where we quickly got to work. Within the first hour I hooked into a 13 inch largemouth using a Texas rigged worm. Other then one other small largemouth the day slowed down for me after that.My buddy was having some success with a crankbait pulling in two pickerel and a largemouth. Just as we were ready to call it a wrap I cast my line next to a hug log and as soon as it hit the water I had something. Whatever this was it was giving me a good fight and I was sure it was a big largemouth. As I pulled the fish into the boat I was shocked at what I saw a Bullhead Catfish. This is the first catfish I have ever caught or seen in Loch Raven. Once again it was a great day out on the reservoir
