Crappie Time at Broadford Lake!

I fished Broadford Lake near Oakland recently and had some fantastic fly-fishing for Black Crappies and Bluegills. The crappies were taking bead-head nymphs fished at near-shore brush piles, and the Bluegills were cruising the shallows and were taking Elk-Hair Caddis flies. I took home a nice stringer of fish, the makings of a great fish fry!
