Savage River Reservoir Trout

We figured out the fall pattern for catching rainbow trout. Dad and I fished the Savage River Reservoir from our Canoe on Saturday 9-6-14 and caught our limit of trout. I caught this nice 18" trout. We saw an American Bald Eagle flying in to land and I grabbed the camera and got these pictures of it, he is in the center of the one picture sitting on a tree branch. The next day we headed to the fishing challange finale where I won a fishing rod, a tackle box, and best of all a fishing trip on the Baltimore Harbor. Thanks to the DNR for having the fishing challenge and a great big thanks to captain Tom Hughes for donating the fishing trips and to Matt from the Fisheries Service who presented the youth awards. I am very excited about the fishing trip with Captain Tom and can hardly wait until next year to go on it. Matt, we are looking forward to learning ice fishing this year and hope to see you out there.
