Hooked on Fishing After First Catch

My son Eric, age 12 has Autism and my dad (69 years old) is an avid fisherman. During the last 12 years Eric has never had an interest to fish. I know that has always broken my dad's heart. He has tried for many years to get him to fish or at least go in a boat. This summer we were in Ocean City, Maryland for vacation. One evening our family (grand-dad & grand mom included) went out on the beach to fish and told Eric what we were doing. He seemed to like the idea and we asked him if he wanted to hold the rod. He complied and within 5 minutes he caught a fish. Well that's all it took. He was hooked. He caught another one within 5 minutes and another one. It was an exciting night to say the least, especially to have his grandfather present. The smiles on everyone's faces that night was priceless. I have attached 3 pictures. One picture shows his first fish and the 2nd photo is his 2nd fish (I think both croakers) and the 3rd photo is something I never thought I would get a picture of….and that was Eric holding a rod and looking off into the ocean. It was an amazing site.
