Region: Northern
Location: Susquehanna River
This past Sunday a small group of us stepped aboard Captain Mike Benjamins boat and headed out on the Susquehanna River for a few hours of yellow perch fishing. As we left the marina we noticed many people along the piers fishing and even more already out on their boats. Just a few hundred meters upstream we dropped our lines in the water for the first time and almost immediately began catching fish. For the next few hours the fish didnt stop biting. It appeared as though every spot that Captain Mike took us was a little better than the last. For anybody that would like to witness a recovery of a fishery all you need to do is take a short drive up to Northeast.
