October has been good to us already as we have been able to catch channel catfish up to 8 pounds, largemouth bass close to four and a variety of big panfish to include bluegills, redears, pumpkinseeds and pumpkinseed hybrids on small jigs tipped with baits and on worms alone.
October and November have been historically excellent months for us on a variety of species. Small public and private lakes are hot in the fall and trophies can be had. All the fish in the accompanying photos were taken in public waters overlooked by the masses.
