Fish on Base

I got on the water just after the rain stopped around 1:30pm. It was very overcast. The fish were a bit sluggish but I managed to catch a half dozen pickerel and 1 nice largemouth. The bass fell for a jointed rapala. Stickbaits and spinners caught the other fish.

I fished the pond on Andrews AFB. It's loaded with weeds which makes just about every cast end up with some vegetation. The pickerel are lying right up to the weedline. Cast enough times and you can fool a few fish.
