Youghiogheny Catch and Release Trout Fishing Area

The Youghiogheny River Catch and Release Trout Fishing Area was recently surveyed with the help of the Garrett College's Fisheries Management Class. The upper station near Hoyes contained the highest density of trout, and some very nice trophy sized brown trout and rainbow trout. Even one brook trout was collected at this station. The lower Sang Run station had fewer trout, however we did collect some nice size rainbow trout and brown trout between twelve and fifteen inches.
