Upper Potomac Flathead

Type: Nontidal
Region: Central
Location: Dam No. 4

I was doing some evening fishing for walleye at Dam #4 on 10/21 when I caught a lot of good size rock bass and what I believe is a flathead catfish, I've never heard of any being caught up this way, are they invasive?

DNR Response: Yes, that is a flathead catfish, it is not unusal to find them in that part of the upper Potomac. They are invasive and we advise that you keep all flathead's that you catch.
