Walleye or Yellow Perch?

Type: Nontidal
Region: Central
Location: Potomac River

They are both in the perch family (walleye being larger), breed around the same time of the year, both taste delicious, and even have similar creel limit w/ walleye being minimum of 15". However, it would cost me about $50 buck in gas alone, round trip, to take my kayak to the mouth of the Susquehanna or $1.30 to the Potomac River. Spent 3 hour's this morning and landed 2 nice male walleye around 2-2.5 lbs. I'm sure in due time, the females will follow ranging from 5-8 pounds. I'll be at my fishing hole everyday thru President's Day. Stay tuned.
