My buddy Mark Kopyc and I hit the Upper Potomac for Musky yesterday, February 20. With the water at 40 degrees, we targeted sunny, slow current areas. This mid-size Musky was right off the bank, down from an inside-turn and hit a 7" suspending bait. Our first sight of the fish was it leaping completely out of the water next to the canoe. Because the fish was badly hooked from engulfing the entire lure, we went to shore for the release, hence the residual mud on its side.
