North Branch Election Day

Type: Nontidal
Region: Western
Location: Northe Branch

I headed out to the North Branch after voting, and I fished a couple different sections of the catch and release water and the put and take water around Barnum with a good friend. A couple caddis flying around and some small blue winged olives in the afternoon, but most our fish came on indicator rigs. The catching was a little on the slow side, but the weather conditions were really nice, and the water was low and managable to wade (well as managable as the North Branch gets). Here was the fish of the day, a 20 inch male rainbow that ate a golden stonefly nymph. Great fight and a good looking healthy fish!!! He was released to give someone else a tug soon.
