I went fishing today, 11/4/14, during election day. I fished at three different ponds, all in the same development, from 11 AM- 2 PM. It was perfect out for November, overcast and 65 degrees. I had never fished these ponds before, so to cover water quickly, and see what fish were in here and biting, I used a Joe Flies spinner, with a silver blade. I caught a few small bass, up to 12 inches, and at least knew I was onto something. Attached are some of the mid sized fish and one trophy. The biggest fish tipped off where it was earlier in the day by chasing baitfish toward the shoreline. Most bass are aggressively feeding right now to stock up for winter, thus giving me about two weeks left of good fishing. I cast the spinner past a tree that was against the shoreline and while reeling in felt a nice tug, the rest is history. Of course the hook came out quite easily once I had the fish on shore, proving how close it could have came to coming off while reeling in. The fish was from my fingertip to my elbow, which I measured when I got home, and that was 21 inches. Estimated weight of fish was 5-6 pounds. Cant wait to go back again before things quiet down for the winter.
